Nearshore Fishing

We’re heading around three miles out, fishing along the coast where the Gulf of Mexico meets Tampa Bay. The coastal Waters near Anna Maria Island and Egmont key offer great fishing. These pristine, turquoise waters also make for a great place to have an afternoon dip along the sandy beaches—the perfect trip for families looking to experience our local fisheries.

Captain Jeff will fill in with us during busy times of the year. Originally from Texas, Jeff came on board two years ago, assisting with trips. After spending some time with Boat US, he started guiding fishing trips with us. He’s incredibly safe, knowledgeable, and knows our local waters well.

Target Species

Our nearshore fishing trips have a diverse range of popular species including mangrove snapper, flounder, pompano, grouper, Spanish mackerel, hogfish, Key West Grunts, sheepshead, sea trout, tarpon, and many other species.

Where We Fish

We’re fishing off the coast around the Tampa Bay area, from Egmont Key to Anna Maria Island. We fish a mix of structure including bridges, channels, and wrecks using live bait tactics. If you want to take a break, we can easily swing by the beautiful white sand beaches and sandbars around the island. These are great trips for families with shorter ride times to fish and mix in some fun swimming. We have a ladder off the back of the boat for easy boarding.

What's Included

All rods, reels, tackle, bait, lures, licenses, cooler with ice, and water will be waiting aboard our 36’ Al Dhaen center console. Powered by twin 250 HP Yamaha engines, this fast vessel comes complete with an autopilot, radar, state-of-the-art Furuno electronics, and other professional accessories.

We have two giant Ocean Tamer bean bag chairs for lounging and relaxing on the boat—perfect for the kiddos to take a break.

There is also a full toilet with a sink aboard, along with plenty of comfortable seating to keep you relaxed and refreshed all day long.

When we get back to the marina, our first mate will fillet and bag your catch for transport home. If you want to learn how to fillet a fish, we’re happy to teach you the ins and outs of how to properly process your fish.
